RSS feeds enable you to have news pushed to your PC screen directly.  
All you need is a live internet feed, and a RSS reader on your desktop.

On our RSS feed, we will post urgent prayer requests and updates, as well as any last minute emergency news and schedule changes (cancellations due to weather, etc).

If you are interested in this and do not yet have a RSS reader on your desktop, you can get any of several fine RSS readers as part of the Yahoo Widgets! package at http://widgets.yahoo.com/ .

Those with Windows Vista are able to load an RSS reader in the Windows Sidebar without downloading any additional programs.
